DESCRIPTION
CD reissue of this 1979 release. Slug Line was singer/songwriter John Hiatt's third album, released after four years without a record deal. Adding reggae and rhythm 'n' blues to the stew, Hiatt delivered a rawer and meaner album, establishing him as an original and creative singer/songwriter. Confidently flirting with reggae on 'Madonna Road', pop on 'Radio Girl', rockabilly on 'You Used To Kiss The Girls' and R&B on 'Washable Ink', Hiatt had become a master who could paint just about any musical landscape.
