A unique encounter occurred on a visit to Davis' native city Saint Louis in the spring of 1952 between the legendary trumpeter & the tenor Jimmy Forrest (at the peak of his popularity) at the local Barrelhouse Club. This superior 24-bit remastered set contains 9 tracks featuring such standards as 'What's New', 'Oh Lady be Good' & the classics 'Ray's Idea' & 'Night in Tunisia'. The Jazz Factory. 2003.
