Lionel Hampton, the master of the jazz vibraphone, is one of the most important figures in jazz history, with a career that spanned almost seven decades, working with such luminaries as Benny Goodman and Buddy Rich to Charlie Parker and Quincy Jones. This rare mid-sixties recording finds Hamp in fine form, performing classic tunes from Ellington, Gershwin, Jobim and others.
