HUNTSMEN - PRESENTING THE HUNTSMEN CD

Description

DESCRIPTION
The standalone "Presenting The Huntsmen" is the only known album by The Huntsmen and was recorded in Phillips Studio, Nashville, Tennessee in 1963. Consisting of Linda Sutherland (vocals), Wayne Burroughs (banjo), Bob Hicks (guitar and arrangement) and John Memory (tenor guitar and vocals) the band was formed in 1961 when Wake Foress College attendees Bob Hicks and John Memory were strolling past classmate Wayne Burroughs dorm room and found that they had a mutual love for the folk music that came serenading through the corridor. By the following spring they had developed into a cohesive and close unit enlisting the campus homecoming queen (Linda Sutherland) as a lead vocalist. The boys lost no time in making her a regular member for she brought that unique quality that set them above the rest. In this album they lend their authentic ear to the songs, preserving a robust era of American history in such songs as Fenario, Ox Driver and Sinner Man. This product is an authorized manufactured on demand CD-R
