The band here is strictly first-rate, comprised of veterans Slide Hampton on trombone, Blue Mitchell on trumpet, Barry Harris, on piano and his Cannonball bandmate Louis Hayes on drums, along with young tenor sax hotshot Bob Berg, who was 26 at the time of this recording. Digitally remastered from the original tapes. Deluxe packaging with a 16-page booklet with original liner notes by Chris Sheridan and a new essay by jazz journalist Bill Milkowski, plus restored artwork, photos and session notes.
