For years, the singer and poet Lounès Matoub, also known as Matoub Lounès, was the spokesman for the Berber cause, the defense of the Amazigh language, in constant opposition to the Algerian power, in war against religious and cultural influences from the Middle East. This album is one of his masterpieces.
