The chief architect of the euro-disco sound of the late 1970s, Russian born producer Boris Midney built a state of the art recording studio in New York City, became one of the first producers to fully utilize 48 track recording, and proceeded to make symphonic disco music that completely revolutionized the dance music scene, paving the way for emerging styles of trance, hip-hop, drum & bass and house music. On the special expanded edition of his groundbreaking 1979 album, Pinocchio, released under the moniker Masquerade presented here, are the original mixes of the complete album plus Francois K.s 12 edits of the tracks Wooden Wooden Puppet, Im Attached To You, Cat Tails, L.O.V.E. / R.S.V.P, Dont Leave Me Hanging and Open The Secret Door.
