The first single/song explodes on the A-side with the crackling Alan Vega slash John Lee Hooker inspired freak-out of blues and lust "I'm in Love" and weaves through Morphine-ish atmospheres, swampy Dr. John type hoodoo, dark Jesse Mae Hemphill inspired trance blues and dance floor soul rockers. Mr. Airplane Man started in the late 90s playing their unique take on Mississippi trance blues, weirdo misfit rock 'n' roll, and garage pop wonderment. They recorded and toured first with Mark Sandman of Morphine, and then four records in the '00s with Memphis' Monsieur Jeffrey Evans, Greg Cartwright of Reigning Sound and the Dirtbombs Jim Diamond on the legendary Sympathy for the Record Industry.
