In December 1968 at Columbia Studios in Nashville, this ex-singer/songwriter/guitarist from Moby Grape set about recording his first LP as a Columbia Recording artist: "Oar." Sadly, though Skip lived until 1999, it would also be his last. An acid-laced, melancholy journey through country, blues and gospel, "Oar" is as "cult classic" as they come-and it's now been expanded like never before. The original album is here along with the 1999 bonus cuts and nearly two hours of period recordings, all packed in a hardcover book-style jacket full of David Fricke notes and rare photos.
