Tool first bashed the face of rock & roll complacency in '92 with the powerful Opiate EP; their full length, Undertow, followed in 1993, along with a slot on that summer's Lollapalooza tour. As word of their blistering live performance spread, MTV began airing the video for "Sober," which garnered the band Billboard's Best New Artist and Best Hard Rock video awards.
